The foundation of Intercession!
Nehemiah. 1:4)
The foundation of intercession is always connected to intervention, without intercession there can’t be no intervention. 1Tim.2:1
1) Preparation – to make oneself suitable or appropriate 2Timothy 2:20) Sanctification is the process by which one is prepared.
It is the course by which one separate’s himself to & for God. I Thes.4:4 say: that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor. Look at the life of Nehemiah!! His name means: (the comfort of Yahweh) His life and ministry portrays Christ in His ministry of restoration. Which means thru the life and ministry of Nehemiah, God was going to restore things back to His original plan and purpose. Nehemiah’s life illustrates Christ in that he gives up a high position (cup-bearer) in order to identify with the predicaments & dilemmas of His people.
Nehemiah 1:4) when he heard about the condition of Jerusalem, his compassion drove him into intercession. Therefore the first key to preparation is taking notice of the condition that the community, city, & nation is in, and how it is affected by captivity, and how the walls of life, hope and prosperity is laid in ruin. Intrusion by the enemy should always birth intercession in the life of a man or women of God. The word (intrusion) means: the illegal entering upon another land without right to possession. Satan is an illegal spirit who has no right to enter in upon your land of Canaan. It is your inheritance!!! Therefore you must learn how to ask for it. Psalms.2:8 remind us; Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance. Souls are apart of that inheritance. Therefore you receive your inheritance thru intercession.
2) Reconstruction – has to do with the strategic purpose and plan on how to begin to build. We are building a kingdom. This process begins with planning. And strategy, the scripture says: in prov.16:9 a man plans his way but the Lord directs his steps. The plan of Nehemiah was his primarily concern with Judah’s political and geographical restoration. Because Jerusalem was the spiritual and political center of Judah. Next Reconstruction has to do with securing from the king permission, provision, & protection for the project of building the walls. 1) Permission has to do with getting the wisdom of God concerning a matter, before you get the favor & approval of man. * Notice (Jesus grew in stature & in favor with God and man) Neh.2:1-4)
2) Provision. - Every vision is promoted by provision) Joseph vision of restoration between him and his brothers prompted him to act in giving. Gen.42:25) what ever you want to see built you must sow toward it. 3) Protection. Every vision must be protected by the saturation of prayer and intercession. Neh.2:12)
